Thank heavens for small mercies – Nature’s Choice Milkshake

We are going through a full lifestyle change at the moment. We are all going gluten, dairy and sugar free. It’s been crazy to get Sky not to ask for sweets / juice / ice cream the whole time. So I remembered the packet of Nature’s Choice Milkshake I had in the cupboard. I made it with water and she loved it! She has been asking for her milkshake rather than anything else at the moment. It has no refined sugar, no unnecessary chemicals or genetically modified products. The list of ingredients:

Rice Milk (Dextrose, Vegetable Oil, Calcium Phosphate, GM-Free Imported Rice Flour, Poly-Unsaturated Palm Oil (not palm kernel oil)), Maltodextrin, Fructose, Strawberry Flavour, Vitamins & Minerals

  • Sucrose Free
  • No Preservatives
  • Lactose Free
  • Gluten Free
  • GE/GMO Free Ingredients
  • Cholesterol Free

I’m busy making her ice-cream with it, so waiting for the result when she comes home. Will keep you updated but I’m sure it will be a huge success as she LOVES ice-cream.

They have different flavors and at the moment Dischem has a 20% discount on all their health products, so now is the time to try it out.

Money wise it might sound expensive at first. But if you think what milkshake cost or just a normal mix of milk and something like Nesquick it’s a good deal at around R40 a packet.

You only need 3 teaspoons per glass, so you do get far with it.

Give it a try

    1. Not if there is a change that she might have diabetes. Even the natural fruit’s sugar will be too much. We are waiting for doctor’s results but until then we are even cutting out fruit
